The Earth Care Working Group formed in the fall of 2008 when members of three Iowa Quaker Meetings–Iowa City Friends Meeting, West Branch Friends Meeting, and West Branch Friends Church–gathered out of a concern for climate change and the need for community and support in addressing environmental issues.
